A single account can cover many stores. Multiple accounts are useful when you manage separate businesses, brands, or clients and want to keep their catalogs, programming, and settings apart.
The open-source edition is single tenant: one account per installation. Cloud adds managed multi-account operation. Compare your account and location requirements with the commercial terms of your cloud offer.
